a magic of april fool

Apr.29.2010

fw

this is will and fumie (april 1st 2010)

i was riding down on bowery and saw him trying to catch a cab.
i had to stop right there and say

“hi, will. i am a biggest fan of yours and i have a blog writing about music called, until i meet will oldam, to get a gig one day to photograph you (with your massive beard that was gone already that day, sad, ah, but that’s ok) for a music artsy magazine or something and i am really happy that i see you” and will said, “now you have to stop that right?”

he is the major one i really wanted to see in person. i like his music and voice a lot. i didn’t get a chance to see him on the same night at monster island basement show. but that’s ok. i will wait for the right time to meet again.

pm

and this is peter and his major dude in his artist life, albert maysles, from 30 days ny.
the talk show was really inspiring and it made me start filming.

april was
the birth of new adventures
letting go a feather from a vintage wounded jacket
a reunion with the past and presence of myself and you
let’s just enjoy the moment

grandma special

Dec.01.2009

my mom bought her a casio keyboard a few months ago. she never played any instrument in her life. now she is 90 and gently jamming with tony bennett in a casette player.

my dearest late grandfather bought me a karaoke machine when i was 9. we really couldn’t use it because it was too loud for neighbors.
