tonight’s good surprise
Sep.10.2011almost full moon as you could see
riding home and heard friendly explosion
there were fireworks over the brooklyn bridge
i stopped and got off from my bicycle
fantastic flawless view as it is
(except the verizon sign)
less traffic and people tonight
this afternoon
i got a new neon yellow ski helmet from my friend’s stoop sale.
it perfectly fits my head and style
it is good for the winter
a half year anniversary from the earthquake in japan
the truth is still hidden
the information is still manipulated
i try to never forget to remember
how wonderful to be in this moment and live in this world
what else can we do?
but do our best for what we can do-
share love with all our brothers and sisters
it’s 10th anniversary of my life in brooklyn
if you are in nyc, let’s go see manhattan together!

last winter when i was passing him by, i sent him a quick secret smile for the first time.
he gave me back an instant exchange with a wholesome smile.
i don’t take williamsburg bridge often any more but this shot is from the last time when i rode over.
as soon as i saw him doing the pull ups (bike lane though), i must stop.
i asked him from the distance if it was ok to photograph him.
he was ready.

it was the end of march. I was riding on the bridge a little late like around 1:30 for the winter day. a boy passed me by and said big hi-
i thought he was one of my bike friends but it was dark so i turned around then we u-turned and greeted each other.
his name was matt and we’ve never met each other. we shook hands and rode apart.
next day i moved to a new place and greg henderson or jpl told me there was a philosophy major kid moving to their space, his name was matt.
a second later, matt came our of the elevator and we became neighbors. i took his photos.
