the last day of my tokyo home stay was my grandma’s birthday. she turned 90. i bought a disposable camera and asked her to take pictures of whatever she liked and also me. i know i am her favorite.
i don’t think she ever photographed many times in her life. it was always grandpa or his little brother who was really into photography.

i showed some of my zines before and told her we were going to make one like this, you and me. that is going to be a belated birthday present for her.
she didn’t really get it but kept shooting and finished her roll in 2 hours.
