今日でおじいちゃんの生誕１００年記念です。仏壇の掃除をし、お花や茶菓子を買って、夕飯も出して、これから般若心経を読もうと思います。写真を撮り始めた頃は小学生前だった従姉妹ももうじき大学生になります。

やはりこの集合写真はいつ見ても懐かしい。

i made neue pages of the book my grandmother and i made together in 2010 in my zine section. it took me a whole year to make a final book and gave it to her on her 91st birthday in june.

（序文）

東京に戻る度に、相変わらず私は、”糸の切れた風船”って母さんに呼ばれて、ここ数年おばあちゃんはがっかり。でも、真夜中電灯がついているのに気付いて、のっそり起きて、養命酒で静かに酒盛りしたり、私がJFK空港でお土産で買った、ハーブのオイルでマッサージしてあげたら、そんな経験９０年もしたことがないみたいで、心から感謝してくれた。

あぁ。大切な時間を、もっと一緒に過ごせたら、どんなに素晴らしいだろう。

こうして私が好き勝手に、毎日かけがえのない生活を送れるのも、おじいちゃん、おばあちゃんが、人生の大半を一生懸命働いてくれたおかげです。

去年のお誕生日プレゼントに作るはずだったこの本は、一年かかってやっと出来ました。最初はのぞき方もシャッターの押し方もわからなかった使い捨てカメラで、母さんの協力を得て、半日おばあちゃんは、楽しそうに、夢中で写真を撮りました。

そして現像してみたら、すごく良い写真が撮れている。

私はよく、あの日を思い出します。
