i was a tom boy. and i guess still i am.
when i was 6, my teen neighbor tried to teach me how to skateboard. i was so stoked. but my grandmother said to him,
“she is a girl. please don’t show her how to do it. because she is a girl”
i was disappointed. what does that mean, “she is a girl?”
i am a girl, well, maybe a women, and it’s still a weird notion but i’m finally getting used to it.
when i was 22, my boy friend that time tried to commute everhwhere with a skateboard in tokyo. i bought one for myself and i practiced it for a little while. but my board was probably the second cheapest one at the store and made a loud noise. kids at the park screamed at me, “it’s sooo loud—” but it was fun.
anyway here are peter cosmo boldwin and his cousin emile. peter is going to be 4 next month. we came back from the beach and peter showed me how to skateboard.
peter is so cool
